The MightyFiler™ software maintains the index and provides search services to your local users (through MightyFinder™) and remote users (through MFWeb™). Unlike desktop-search tools MightyFiler performs all indexing and searching on the server reducing network load and freeing your users' workstations for other tasks. MightyFiler™ stores document in a file system structure. This allows documents to be opened and updated using your normal business software applications. There is no need for special document readers or document check-out procedures. Access to document folders can be securely restricted to individuals or groups. Document searches will only return results that are consistent with the users' access rights. |
MightyFiler™ automatically indexes all supported document types (PDF, MS Office, Text etc). Simply scan, create or copy the document to the server and it will be indexed and searchable. Even non-text documents can be found by name, date, workflow-disposition etc. Third-party filters are available for other document types (e.g. CAD drawings, Movie Meta-Data etc).
