MightyFile® Warranty

(Current Production Models, U.S.A. Only)

What the warranty covers:

Beyond Browsing Inc. warrants its products against defects in materials and workmanship during the warranty period. If a component suffers from defective materials or workmanship during the warranty period, Beyond Browsing will repair or replace the affected component with a new or re-certified component of equal or greater value, at the discretion of Beyond Browsing.

DOA

Components failing within the first 30 days are considered DOA. This designation shall be applied to the failed component only. (i.e. Scanner, Server, monitor etc). DOA components will be replaced with a new component. Beyond Browsing Inc. will pay shipping costs (both-ways).

Warranty Period

The warranty period for the MightyFile® Server is 1 year.

The warranty period for the MightyFile® Scanner is 1 year.

Components that fail within the warranty period (after the DOA period has expired) will be replaced with a new or re-certified component of equal or greater value. Customer pays shipping to Beyond Browsing. Beyond Browsing pays shipping to customer.

 

If a copy of the original proof-of-purchase is not available, the warranty period will be considered to begin on the date of manufacture of originally supplied components. Replacement or re-certified components shall not affect the warranty period.

The warranty is subject to change at any time without prior notice.

Beyond Browsing reserves the right to refuse service at any time.

 

This warranty is not transferable and is valid only for the original purchaser.


What the warranty does not cover:

  • Units purchased outside the continental U.S.A.
  • Any component on which the serial number has been defaced, modified or removed.
  • Damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from:
    a. Normal wear and tear.
    b. Accident, misuse, abuse, negligence, improper shipping or acts of God or failure to follow instructions supplied with the product.
    c. Repairs or modifications not performed by Beyond Browsing.
    d. Removal or installation of the product.
    e. Causes external to the product, such as electric power fluctuations or failure.
    f. Any other cause that does not relate to a product defect.

 

How to get service:

  • For information on obtaining warranty service, call your MightyFile® dealer, visit our web site at www.mightyfile.com, or call Beyond Browsing Customer Support at 562-508-4870.
  • If you are determined to be eligible for warranty service, you will be required to provide:

          a. The original dated sales slip
          b. Your name
          c. Your address
          d. The serial number of the product
          e. Where purchased
          f. Telephone number
          g. The model number of the product
          h. Description of problem

Limitation of implied warranties:

THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WHICH EXTEND BEYOND THE DESCRIPTION CONTAINED HEREIN INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

 

Exclusion of damages:

BEYOND BROWSING INC. LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE COST OF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF THE PRODUCT. BEYOND BROWSING SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
DAMAGE TO OTHER PROPERTY CAUSED BY ANY DEFECTS IN THE PRODUCT, DAMAGES BASED UPON INCONVENIENCE, LOSS OF USE OF THE PRODUCT, LOSS OF TIME, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, LOSS OF GOODWILL, INTERFERENCE WITH BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS, OR OTHER COMMERCIAL LOSS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THEIR POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
ANY OTHER DAMAGES, WHETHER INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR OTHERWISE.
ANY CLAIM AGAINST THE CUSTOMER BY ANY OTHER PARTY.

Effect of local law:

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties and/or do not allow the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you.
